We have been to the campsite before so we decided to return as we had liked it a lot!! Now this is MOSTLY wooden cabins and the only pitches that are left are really awful unkempt ones and very small!! The pitches we were given only allowed …
Warm welcome at reception. Lovely large pitches with individual toilet/shower. Pool clean and well maintained. Great views from the campsite. Sadly only able to stay two nights. So will be back soon. Remember to order bread the night before. Coming off the motorway the roundabout is a little tricky at rush hour.
We have stayed most years since 2001 on our way home to Spain. They clearly don’t want us motorhomers or caravans as there are few pitches left. We couldn’t put out the awning as the scruffy pitch was too small & for that we paid 63€ in September. We will never stop at a capfun camping again.
Cyclists - Never returning here.
One receptionists was talking so loudly I could not hear the other - no apology… Typical corporate attitude to customers.
Was allocated a space for my ebike and tent. Electrical point was in the centre of the next pitch so I was forced to put the tent in that corner which was the worst spot. The pitch was hard with stones underneath - impossible to stake it down properly. Little grass and no shady trees. Pitch sloped down to one side too much.
Not for cyclists…
|General|+ no issues with staff- In fact we found reception and restaurant staff very helpful|+ there is no rule around shorts in the pool/ lagoon. But they of course ask that you go in with your children. Don’t be put off by some of the …
Very nice campsite! It's located near the sea. We stayed here only one night, but we all agreed that we could have stayed longer! There are two pools; one regular pool and one sort of mini-beach (see picture). Restaurant is fine and the campsite also has a sports area in which you can play soccer, tennis, table tennis etc. Every place has a private sanitary room. It's pretty small, but big enough to take a shower and use the toilet. The pitches were very long, but not really wide. We will definitely return in the future!
The campsite is beautiful. Big wide roads and plenty of pitches, with the added quirky bonus of every pitch having its own private toilet and shower.
The shop on site is well stocked, but only open for 2 hours in the morning, which is fine as long as you are prepared. You can order bread and croissants fresh from the shop the day before.
An absolutely stunning campsite, and the staff were wonderful and friendly.
I really wanted to give 5 stars, but sadly I had to knock a star off for the absolutely horrific mosquito problem.
I read previous reviews mentioning mosquitoes, but this did not deter me from paying a visit, I thought "its April, how bad can it be"...
But it was bad...I was horrifically bitten during my stay, including my entire face and eyes becoming swollen and sore.
These are Tiger mosquitoes, so normal repellent will not work, you need tropical strength with at least 25% DEET to deter them.
What a shame, for such a fantastic place, to have such an issue. They do have bug-zappers, but they are ineffective for mosquitoes as they are not attracted to them, the bug-zappers only kill other bugs, like moths.
The only real way to deal with this issue is to work out the source, which is likely to be standing water somewhere (and not the lake) Probably drains, or guttering or something.
Sadly, due to the mosquitoes, I will not be returning, which is a real shame, as I wanted to love this place I really did.
The site was not busy in late May but all of The facilities were open. The pitch designated to us had its own small “sanitare”. Shower toilet and wash basin. Bags of hot water. ||||Reception was efficient and pleasant with English …
